All recommendations for these projects are the opinion of Pennsylvania Kinzua Pathways, with input and guidance from suppporting organizations.
Unless otherwise indicated, as in the case of the Rimrock Trail, none of these projects have been formally approved by the USFS.

Rimrock Trail

A rewarding partnership with the students in the drafting and carpentry classes at the Warren County Career Center resulted in a trail that is planned to be open for use by Summer 2010.

Kinzua Beach Revitalization

Last summer, Kinzua Beach re-opened with free access and a new picnic pavilion and volleyball court. 2010 brings even more improvements, with renovated restrooms and concession facilities.

Mountain Biking Trail System

The International Mountain Bicycling Association, along with its local chapter the Northern Allegheny Mountain Bicycling Association, with the support of Friends of Allegheny Wilderness and PKP.

Kinzua Point Visitors Center

Local architect firm, InscalePC graciously donated conceptual drawings for a green building that stands to be an educational and recreational hub for the entire area, providing educational, recreational, and small business opportunities.

Devil's Elbow Trail

Warren, PA firm, Larson Associates graciously donated conceptual renderings for a low grade trail that would run along the reservoir shore, serving as a stage for interpretive signage to educate on the history that lies beneath its blue waters.

Southern Tip Trail

PKP proposes a hiking/bicycling trail that would start at Kinzua Point, go under the Morrison Bridge and continue along the shore, connecting Dew Drop campground, Elijah Run boat launch, and Kiasutha and Red Bridge campgrounds.
